Deux ans après « Carnival, Vol. 2: Memoirs of an Immigrant », Wyclef Jean s’apprête à proposer de nouvelles musiques par le biais d’un nouvel EP intitulé « From The Hut To The Projects To The Mansion ».

Attendu pour le 10 novembre aux États-Unis, l’Extended Play devrait inclure comme invités, Timbaland, Cyndi Lauper ou encore Eve. Coproduit par DJ Drama, l’EP serait un genre d’album concept qui tournerait autour de l’histoire d’un personnage fictif du nom de Toussaint St Jean. Le personnage aurait par ailleurs trait avec le révolutionnaire haïtien du 18e siècle Toussaint L’Ouverture. Le thème étonne peu quand on sait que l’ex-membre des Fugees est d’origine haïtienne.
