La track « The Rap Over », issue de l’album « The New Danger », créée une polémique dans le microcosme du Rap US. En effet ce « jam » qui reprend l’instrumental de « Take Over » de Jay-Z a été retiré des prochains pressages de l’album dans un intriguant silence médiatique. La raison semble être les propos suspicieux et diffamant qui entourent cette track. Notamment certains passage dans lesquelles Mos dit je cite : « les quasi homosexuels… » puis « le grand israélien bave sur ce rap de merde ». Cette dernière réplique apparaît comme la cause principale de la controverse car elle semble être diriger vers Lyor Cohen , L’ancien Patron de Def Jam devenu patron chez Warner Music.
